A government council, chaired by Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch, is set to convene on Thursday, according to a statement from his office.
At the start of its proceedings, the Council will hear a presentation by the Minister of Health and Social Protection on the spread of measles and the measures taken to contain the disease, as well as a presentation by the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests on the progress of the 2024-2025 agricultural campaign.
It will then examine two draft decrees, the first of which defines the criteria and procedures for defining the close or remote protection perimeters around water catchment installations for public supply, as well as the works and activities likely to be prohibited or regulated within these perimeters.
The second decree sets out the terms and conditions for defining safeguard and prohibition perimeters, and for issuing authorizations and concessions within these perimeters.
The Council will complete its proceedings by considering proposals for appointment to high positions, in accordance with the provisions of Article 92 of the Constitution, the statement concluded.
