In the latest edition of the Official Gazette, three decisions were issued by the Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, designating the “Cinema of Tarfaya in Tarfaya city, the Granada Palace, and the Feres Building in Marrakech” as historical monuments.

Article 2 of each of these decisions states that “no changes, of any kind, may be made to the general appearance of the buildings unless the relevant authorities in the cultural sector are notified at least six months prior to the planned start of any work.

This is in accordance with the provisions outlined in Law No. 22.80, as amended, concerning the preservation of historic buildings, landscapes, inscriptions, artifacts, and antiquities.”
